Our firm’s first non-profit, cap-exempt H-1B case of 2018 was approved yesterday, less than one week after being filed with a request for premium processing on behalf of a cap-exempt not-for-profit employer. The petition requested H-1B status for a beneficiary holding an undergraduate and master’s STEM degree. We worked closely with the employer to formulate a job description that was closely related to the beneficiary’s field of study. The petition was filed with the California Service Center on March 19, 2018, and was approved on March 23, 2018 without any requests for evidence! Our firm is currently finalizing cap-based H-1B petitions for other clients and will begin filing in the beginning of April.
